New large-scale art exhibits are coloring walls, ceilings and just about every nook and cranny at LAX! “Influx: Art at LAX” is the new public art program featuring 11 original, site-specific art installations located throughout all terminals (before and after security). Transforming LAX’s public spaces are diverse, mixed-media artworks created by 45 Los Angeles-based artists that include sculptures, murals, video installations, drawings, photographs and paintings. The public is welcome to visit LAX for self-guided tours of “Influx” which will remain on display through Dec. 31, 2013. For more information about “Influx” and a free downloadable map, visit http://www.lawa.org/newsContent.aspx?ID=1765.
