Getting to Zilker Park During ACL
ACL has multiple approach points rather than one universal vehicle drop-off, so it’s worth checking festival access instructions for the specific weekend and ticket type.
The festival lists three entrances into Zilker Park:
- Lady Bird Entrance, reached from the north across the MoPac pedestrian bridge
- Barton Springs East, approached from the east along Barton Springs Road
- Barton Springs West, approached from the west along Barton Springs Road

- The 10 p.m. crush. The City of Austin currently lists ACL event hours as roughly noon to 10 PM, while ACL says it will confirm official 2026 gate times closer to the festival.
Either way, the hardest traffic window comes after the final sets, when a large share of the crowd leaves Zilker at once. That is when a pre-agreed meeting point becomes most useful.
Flying in adds a twist at both ends. Austin-Bergstrom is close to Zilker on paper, but festival-weekend traffic makes the timing far less predictable than the mileage suggests.
